GSHBA Parade of Homes 2009
Jon Marty’s Custom Carpentry’s 2009 parade home is a custom built, 3,113 square foot two story home. The homeowners milled the oak hardwood that was cut from their woods and used it throughout the house; including the hardwood floors. The front of the home also is in tune with the surroundings by using real stone for the exterior. In the back, there is a huge exterior deck with a covered porch that overlooks the woods. The homeowner added their own unique touch by hand making the deck spindles themselves.
The home will stay warm and cozy during our extended winters with a wood stove in the living room and four zoned heating throughout. This home has an open concept to both floors with the great room boasting an 18 foot ceiling and a massive bottle shaped stone chimney. This is overlooked by a large upper loft with extensive oak railing. The second floor also features a large bonus room above the garage. There are many more special touches and modern amenities you can experience for yourself when you visit.
